Your Pre-Wedding Session!

Eeek! It’s time to plan your pre-wedding session!

It all starts to feel real now my friend! Let's get all your ideas & plan your “engagement” session so we can hang out & get some stunning photos of you two! Treat it as a little practice before the big day, or go all in for a mind-blowing adventure session!

Below you will find my best tips & tricks to make your relaxed pre-wedding session just that little bit extra!

The truth is, this photoshoot is 100% about YOU. I want you to feel amazing, wear whatever you want so that you can really feel at ease to show me your feelings & love. THAT’S what makes an ordinary photo become extraordinary.

If you are a little bit of a perfectionist like me, then this ones for you!

Firstly, I want us to have a successful shoot, therefore if the weather is bad and the rain is pouring, unless you want to go ahead I am happy to reschedule!

Please note that your engagement session is for the two of you, bring your fur friends if you’d like, but arrange a baby sitter so that you can have that moment to yourselves and fully relax. I offer family sessions and would be happy to give you a cheeky discount if you’d like to book one!

I always recommend brining 2 outfit changes, depending on your location of choice, some outfits will work better than others:

For example, if you choose a forest photoshoot then wearing greens/ dark colours wouldn’t be the best choice. For simplicity, I always recommend neutral colours such as: white, grey, cream, nude, brown. Pastel colours can also look great if you would like a bit of colour! I would avoid any patterns, big logos, etc. They tend to be a distraction in photos and we want you to be the focus. Hey, if your vision is a glam city shoot, then by all means come with a bright red dress for the WOW effect! My absolute favourites are clothes that give a bit of movement when the wind hits, or when you practice your first dance (hehe!) they add that very special feeling to your photos. Don’t forget to empty your pockets, the most common is leaving your phone or car keys in a back pocket, I will have my camera bag on me to keep those safe for you if you wish.

P.s. Don’t forget to iron your clothes, creases can really make a stunning image look really unprofessional!

Accessories you might want to bring to add more magic to your photos:

Sunglasses (those chunky white ones look so cool!) hats, flowers, handbag, duvet… seriously, this isn’t my photo but it’s on my inspiration list, how cool does it look?!

Makeup & Hair

I would always suggest styling your hair, just because natural hair gives a very casual look. Just by adding a few curls, or eliminating the frizz with straighteners, you’re guaranteed a more professional feel to your photos. Regarding makeup, no big advice here apart from making sure your foundation matches your skin. Cameras are pretty unforgiving when it comes to foundation lines so blend that neckline my friend! If you want to come all natural - amazing! If you want to book a MUA - also amazing!

Hands & Rings

Naturally we will do some close up photos of your hands, showing your engagement ring but also to add a warm feel to your gallery, of the little details! So don’t forget your ring, make sure your nails are neat and bringing a hand moisturiser is also a good idea!

Never underestimate the power of a good nights sleep!

The night before our photoshoot, just take the evening to unwind, relax, and go to sleep early to really feel fresh the next day. It will really help us get a lovely & calm result!

I’ll be in touch real soon with my available dates. After the shoot you will receive a link to your online gallery within 2-3 weeks! I’m so excited to meet you & make this the most fun experience ever!
